Lala Satalin Deviluke comes from an extremely wealthy family in California, the Deviluke family. The family is known for their "devil" tails and it certainly sets them out from the crowd. Lala grew up in a closed environment, and since she didn't have many friends, she instead invented them. Inventing then became her hobby, but more often than not they malfunction.

One of her more used inventions is Peke, her "all-purpose costume robot". She uses him to get dressed for anything and everything, with the robot turning into the attire that she wants. Peke often takes the shape of a barrete in her hair. On some costumes, however, he can become a hat or headband - depends on the outfit.

Another one is her "Almighty Tool" - which looks like a magical girl shoujo staff - can turn other objects into almost anything. A regular baseball bat can suddenly have jets, shoes have ultimate jump ability, a gun suddenly turned into a destructive cannon - you name it, she can do it. Though, most of the time, they turn out too powerful and only bring bad luck. But, she really only does this because she likes helping others... or, tries to.

Recently Lala's father, Gid Lucione Deviluke, has been trying to set up Lala with a husband by introducing candidates almost every day. Frankly Lala got tired of it and decided to leave home with the excuse to find a husband somewhere else (even though it was pretty much a lie). She decided to go to Meillure - where she could easily blend in - and keep it on the low away from her family.

RIKKU BIKANEL ♥ GIALLO Lala thinks she is made of complete awesome. Seriously. Plus they have bunches of things in common - able to speak different languages, an interest in machines, a father with an almost identical name, fashion, personality, almost anything except looks. Lala cheers her on and in return, Rikku does the same. Unfortunately they also have a liking for pranks - which may prove troublesome in the future.
